How to Write a Best-Selling Book

Go For Launch Podcast Show 87Want to know how to write a best-selling book? Believe it or not, there’s a service for that now. It’s called Scribe Writing (formerly Book In A Box), and it is a game changer for professionals who want to write a book but don’t know how—or who can’t commit the time that is typical involved.Tucker Max

I had the pleasure of speaking with Tucker Max, the co-founder and CEO of Scribe Writing, that has turned book writing and publishing into a service.

Tucker himself has written three #1 New York Times Best Sellers, which have sold over three million copies worldwide. He is only the third writer (after Malcolm Gladwell and Michael Lewis) to have three books on the New York Times Nonfiction Best Seller List at one time.

Tucker admittedly has a colorful past, which is well documented. He says he tends to “slow play that” when he meets new people. “Not because I’m embarrassed or ashamed of anything, but it actually works the other way around for me,” he says. “Most people try and tell you how great they are. If you don’t do that but someone finds out on their own that you’ve done great things or cool things…it’s a better way.”

He does say there are periods of his life when “almost everything I did was stupid…but the things people think I’m supposed to regret, I don’t regret at all—in fact I’m proud of them. I did the things that everyone did, but I have the courage and the honesty to say them out loud.”

Now at the age of 40, married with a young son, Tucker has embarked on a new entrepreneurial path. He told me the story of being challenged by a successful businesswoman into figuring out the concept for Scribe Writing, which literally helps people write a book without actually doing the writing itself. Their process is proving to be highly successful, with a string of best-selling book launches. Tucker even claims he was inspired by Socrates to create the process.
